Today’s meltdown brought to you by: “Daddy putting all the DVD’s away that Jojo threw EVERYWHERE.”

Yeah, it sucked, but Jonah has gotten SO much better with meltdowns.

In the past, they could last from 45 minutes to up to 2 hours with aggression, throwing things, hitting, slapping…

In each case, NOTHING could “soothe” it. We just had to “ride it out.”

Today’s lasted less than 10 minutes, before Jonah was able to redirect himself to something else.

I am so happy with how well we are doing in this aspect.

Yes… meltdowns still happen, and they will probably ALWAYS happen, but Jonah has been able to self-regulate himself so much better, thanks to all he has learned in this past year.
