Autism is not a taboo word in our home.
Right before Madd’s ninth birthday, we were driving home from the store.
Maddox looked at me and said “I think I am different than my friends.”
That comment opened up the door for us to talk about Autism.
Maddox knows he has Autism and he embraces it as being a part of who he is.
We embrace it.
A few weeks ago at one of my Dad’s dr appointments, the nurse walked in and introduced herself to Maddox.
He responded with the quote down below.
I am so proud of my boy.
Advocating like a boss đ
And please don’t say he should say ‘Autistic’ instead of ‘have Autism’ He can say whichever he prefers
