WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
So this was our situation yesterday…
We’re at the ocean. Jonah just lost his balance on some rocks and fell waist-deep into the water within 20 minutes of arriving.
He quickly climbed out, but he was SOAKED.
He wasn’t happy about it and I didn’t bring an extra change of clothes (rookie mistake).
He keeps yelling “ALL DONE WET PANTS” but he doesn’t want to leave to go home and change.
HIS solution seems to be to want to strip off every stitch of clothing and be “dry.”
Which, IS “a solution” I guess… 🤦♂️😳
He’s not yet tried to strip yet, though he can’t be comfortable. Time will tell…
He doesn’t want to be wet, but he doesn’t want to leave, and though it’s sunny, it’s not exactly “warm.” Like upper 40s. (4°-ish C)
So I’m looking at either a half-naked 7-year-old; a soaked, freezing 7-year-old; or an epic meltdown from the 7-year-old.
There are literally millions of heavy projectiles readily available and we parked a half-mile away so for safety, I am going to avoid a meltdown at all costs.
What do you do?
