Going to take the cat Russell to be neutered today.

This conversation ensued with my 8-year-old.

Me: “I have to take Russell in for a “kitty doctor appointment.”

Jonny: “why?”

Me: “…”
Me” umm…”

I was not prepared to answer that question. There is no good way to explain it to an 8-year-old boy who personally handpicked that kitten and named him.
