So this happened today.

I picked up Jojo to go home and he gave me a kiss on the cheek! First time ever.

After we got home, I told my wife and when she asked for a kiss, he gave HER one too! First time ever.

Then he came up to me and grabbed my hand pulling me toward the back door.

This conversation ensued.

Jojo: “outside?”

Me: “no, it’s too late. It’s after 8pm.”

Jojo: “outside.”

Me: “Nooooo…Jonah, it’s getting late.”

Jojo:…(signs “please”)

Me: “No, Jojo, time for Jammies…”

Jojo (verbally): “Please?” [first time ever SAYING it.]

Me:…(sniffle), “okay, just for a little bit.”

This kid. Somehow, I’ve won and lost at the same time.
