This is what Jojo does when he feels a sensory overload.
Last year, same place, Jojo would have been soaked within 10 seconds and there would be no getting him out.
This year, I had to physically carry him onto the wet ground after he ogled the sprinklers from a distance for half an hour without touching the wet ground. He wouldn’t touch the water until he had a cup to play with as well.
He wanted to play in the water but did not want to “get wet.”
When we said “all done,” he climbed right in his stroller.
I think the unpredictability of these kinds of water parks now makes him leery.
We have the ocean and a couple spills last month due to unpredictable powerful tropical waves to thank for that.
