One thing doctors always want to do before diagnosing for autism is to check the hearing of the patient.

We sort of skipped that part because Jonah responded sounds around him. There was never a question in my mind about his hearing.

But at Jojo’s last checkup they wanted to screen his hearing “just to be sure.”

New place? New doctor? New doctor who wants to stick things in Jojo’s ears?

What could possibly go wrong?
