Jonah has a high pain tolerance so it’s not always apparent when he is in pain.

But while Jonah was watching, each time someone would get hurt, Jonah would put his hands over his ears, as if in discomfort.

Do you know why?

Empathy.

He wasn’t in discomfort but he knows what it feels like to have an “owie” and watching others get “owies” made him want to cringe.

One misconception about those with autism is that they lack empathy.

For Jojo, that could NOT be farther from the truth.
