Bacon and Juiceboxes: Our Life With Autism is one of the first pages I came across when Jojo was diagnosed and his candid honesty in engaging difficult situations being both a police officer and an autism parent was one thing that drew me in.
Being an autism parent and advocate AND a police officer is becoming more and more difficult in this day and age.
I loved reading their perspective on situations involving autism and the police and I would hate to think that Mr. Bacon felt it necessary to close up shop because of reactions to it.
Sometimes education needs to run both ways.
I will be sad to see them go.
I think it might be time to close up shop, my friends. My family and I will have an important discussion tonight, but I think this run might be over. I can’t thank you enough for your support over the years.
