So Jonny has his annual IEP meeting tomorrow.

He works hard, but he struggles to focus sometimes. We are working very hard to get him caught up academically, but it has been a challenge. We still have a long ways to go.

But in other aspects, he has already matured well-beyond his peers.

He brought this home last year.

Some people want to be like their favorite athlete or musician. Jonny wants to affect change in the world. His hero is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The “book smarts” can be taught, and with time and hard work, he will be fine academically, but the wisdom he has attained at such a young age, is difficult to find even amongst adults…
