Gemiini – An Honest Review (video)

A couple people have been asking what age Jonah started “talking.”

I made this video in April last year.

Jonah was nearly completely nonverbal in December, 2016 when we started using Gemiini (an online language learning program). We had no other 1:1 “autism” services up to that point.

Jonah took to the program almost instantly. Gemiini starts by teaching imitation and Jonah caught on very rapidly. Within 2-3 months he had a 25-30 word vocabulary.

Now, over a year later, Jonah can imitate virtually any word and can identify dozens of objects and actions words. Of course, we have added many additional 1:1 services including in-home therapy which has also helped tremendously in the last several months.

So Gemiini has become more of a “companion” to the services he now receives.

We aren’t relying on Gemiini as much as we were a year ago, though Jonah is still entertained by the videos. We sort of cherry pick the ones he watches now.

This was my honest review 2 months into the program.

**My critique of their website has changed since this was made as they updated their website shortly after I relased this video last year and it is MUCH easier to navigate.

disclaimer This is my own opinion and I am NOT affiliated with Gemiini in any way. The results we have had are unique to our journey. Obviously results for YOU may vary.

Also, “Gemiini is NOT a substitution for speech therapy it is best used in conjunction with traditional speech therapy just to clarify.”
