Happy Thursday, all you Drake fans! (The “Walking with”, and NOT the “Keke challenge” Drake😉) Honey Badger here, (from Just a minutemy cape is in the dryer), popping in to help out my beautiful, hurricane battered sista, Jill.
Remember last year? When Hurricane Harvey hit Texas, and we rallied to help those in need? I think we can do it again😉
Our Jill is someone on the ground, in the midst of the disaster. While she has her own home damage to attend, she is up to her elbows, reaching out to help the helpers. She’s washing clothes for out of town linemen, and putting herself wherever help is needed. Upon asking her how we could all help, she has requested we do NOT make donations through the Red Cross, as they have already promised and failed to show up, more than once.
Jill has recommended we make donations to a more instantly available and RELIABLE agency, the link to which I will post in the comments. She has met with the volunteers they have sent, and has faith in their integrity. Making cash donations is the best way to ensure the folks in the greatest need will get what they need, most urgently.
If you prefer not to make online donations, I would like to suggest gift cards. Visa or American Express gift cards can be used pretty much anywhere, and Walmart gift cards offer the convenience to buy a variety of necessary items, at a location that is close to the disaster zone. You might even consider McDonald’s, or Taco Bell, or Pizza Hut gift cards, because the relief workers and those who are tearing apart what’s left of their homes could sure use a treat😉 (And if anyone has a single word to say about the “unhealthy choice” of fast food, kindly piss off. We can’t pass out salads and Evian to people standing waist deep in flood water. And I hope Jill appreciates how nicely I cleaned up that sentiment😂😂) Gift cards can be sent directly to:

Any of you who have followed my page for any length of time, know I have trust issues, and I trust Jill with my whole heart. She will make sure the funds are distributed where they will do the most good.
So let’s go, people!! Let’s do what we do best, and pull together to help some fellow humans, in their time of need❤😘😘
