So Jonah has decided he “doesn’t do coats” anymore. It’s about 50°F (10°C) right now and I can tell he is freezing outside.
I asked him if he wants his coat and he VERBALLY replied “no coat.”
He’s been going without a coat all summer and now it is cooling off. I’ve only gotten him to successfully wear his coat once since last spring (that being last weekend).
His teacher doesn’t do the “coat fight” with kids and says “they’ll wear it when they get cold enough.”
I kind of agree, except To me that sounds a bit like “he’ll eat that non-preferred food when he’s hungry enough.”
I dunno. It’s not like he will get hypothermia at this point… but if we are still battling this issue come December, I may have to figure something out.
Thoughts?
