“Yet.”

“Yet.”

“Yet.”

“Yet” is a powerful word.

We have been through a lot with both of the kids.

We have faced struggles and challenges. I’d list them all, but there’s no need. Most likely, you’ve been there too.

But you know what?

Life ain’t easy and life ain’t fair. Nobody promised us an easy life.

We are dealt a hand, and we get to CHOOSE how we play it.

It does no good to complain about the cards we have been dealt.

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.

So I continually strive to move forward.

Even when it is hard to find the “good.”

Sometimes, you just have to remember “Any progress is progress. And even if it’s not progress, it’s simply not progress…YET.”

And as parents, it is our job to be there for our kids. To encourage them. To look out for them. To stand up for them… and to help them make sense of a world that doesn’t make sense, and sometimes, can be downright cruel.

That’s not an easy task. But we were not promised an easy life.

But we are in this thing together. If you begin to think you will never make it….

You CAN make it. You WILL make it. You just haven’t gotten there…

…YET.

Keep going!
