I created this music video about a month after Jonah was officially “evaluated”…2 years ago.

It is a photo/video montage of 2016 in review. Jonah was only 2. He would be evaluated in November that year.

2016 was especially poignant to me looking back because it was the year “everything” happened with Jonah. I was capturing little ‘snapshots’ of our family, just for us…

I had no idea I would later be going back through them all… looking for possible things I had missed…

“Was he making good eye contact?”
“Was he speaking?”
“Was he pointing?”
“Did he regress in his speech, or did he ever have any words?”

All those little “markers.”

Later I would learn that all those “markers” don’t mean anything really… I would learn that autism is unique to the individual.

But this video…

…it takes me back. And all those emotions come flooding back.
