When Jonah is inside…

When Jonah is inside he languishes.

We’ve been cooped up for so long.

Today, He was chomping at the big to go somewhere.

…Anywhere….

He stood at the front door; His shoes on, just looking at me. He never said anything. He didn’t try to get my attention.

He just stood there. Ready to go.

His eyes said, “Dad. Let’s go. Lets bust outta here. Let’s LIVE!”

It was a beautiful day today.

So off we went.

I really didn’t know where I would take him.

Yesterday we drove in a circle… from one favorite spot to the next…

I found one park for him… he played for 10 minutes before running back to the car. Obviously, there was bigger “game” afoot.

So off we went again. Searching for fun. Searching for life. Adventure.

Beaches. Playgrounds. Parks.

“CLOSED.”

“CLOSED.”

“CLOSED.”

We must have driven for 45 minutes, before I took him back home.

By the time we got back home, Jonah was so anxious, he didn’t want to get out of the car.

He wanted to go to swim. He wanted to go to Papas house. He wanted to go to the spray park.

He wanted to go LIVE.

So today, We went to the park today just to hit some whiffle balls and play in the dirt.

Just somewhere outside… away from it all.

When you’ve been stuck at home for 4 months, anywhere is better than home.

ANYTHING is better than “home.”

Anything to be outside.
Anything to feel alive.

…Anywhere…
